The bride carrying a bouquet of asparagus and chrysanthemums and wearing a fawn gabardine costume, with hat to match, entered the church on her brothers arm. The best man was Mr. W. Chalker, and the bridesmaid was Miss Nessie Andrews. She wore a pretty frock of blue georgette. After partaking of the breakfast at the George Tea Rooms, the happy couple departed for Melbourne, where they spent the honeymoon.

The funeral will take place this afternoon, the cortege moving from The Rock Presbyterian Church after a service to start at 4.15, for The Rock cemetery.
- [S23] TROVE, Wagga Wagga Daily Advertiser 4 October 1947, MRS. O. E. A. SWASBRICK -- The funeral of the late Mrs. Olive Evelyn Adelaide Swasbrick, wife of Mr. Geo. Swasbrick, of John Street, The Rock, who died at her late residence at The Rock on Thursday, took place yesterday afternoon. The cortege, which was one of the largest to be seen at The Rock, moved from St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church after a service conducted by the Rev. Geo. McLean (The Rock). Miss Laurie Ogilvie officiated at the organ, and the hymns chosen were 'Hushed was the Evening Hymn' and 'Now the Day is Over.' The casket was carried by Messrs. L. Michael, H. Hutchinson, E. Kohlhagen, J. Miller, C. Parker, and A. Parker, while the floral tray was carried by Messrs. B. Murphy, R. Andrews, K. Parker and K. Milne. Interment was in The Rock cemetery, where the Rev. G. McLean again officiated. The chief mourners present were Mr. George Swasbrick (husband), Miss Marie Swasbrick (daughter), Mr. P. Andrews (brother), Mr. and Mrs. G. Murphy (sister and brother-in-law), Mrs. Whitney (sister), Mr. and Mrs W. Swasbrick (brother and sister in law). Mr. and Mrs. R. Milne (niece and nephew), Mr. Ron Andrews (nephew). Mr. Bryan Murphy (nephew). Misses Eileen and Nessie Andrews (sisters) and Mr. Harold Andrews (brother) were unable to be present. Among the many floral tributes were wreaths from The Rock Red Cross, Forest Hill Tennis Club, the Collingullie Session, teachers and pupils of the Presbyterian Sunday School, The Rock Bakery, girls of the C.WA. Younger Set, The Rock Presbyterian Church, manager and staff of Commonwealth Bank, Wagga, the Presbyterian Manse, Commonwealth Oil Refineries Ltd., Collingullie Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Ladies' Guild, The Rock C.W.A. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Alan Harris, of Wagga.
