The wedding was solemnised in the little church of St, Albans, Gerogery, which was very tastefully decorated with evergreens and flowers, and the occasion was unique, in that it was the first wedding celebrated in the building. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Canon Bevan, and there was a large attendance of friends. The bride, who was given away by her father, Mr. P. Cook, wore a charming gown of white silk crystaline, softly trimmed with satin and lace. Her bridal veil was arranged in picturesque fashion being draped over a wreath of orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of cream roses and wore the bridegroom's gift, a gold curb bangle. The bridesmaids, Misses Olive Cook and Jean Swasbrick, were gowned in soft silk voile, smartly trimmed. Mr. David Swasbrick acted as best man. After the ceremony the guests adjourned to the bride's home, where the wedding breakfast was tastefully set out, The honeymoon was spent in Melbourne and vicinity. Presents were numerous.
